NORMA HILL
General Director
Personal Assistant to Founder
Growing up on a farm in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the heart of the Cherokee Nation, instilled the strong work ethic that Norma maintains to this day. She attended a two-room country school through the eighth grade, with a Native American teacher and Native American children as classmates. Her family moved to Wilmington, California, where she completed high school and attended college, majoring in sales and business.
She met and married her Navy husband in Long Beach, California. Over the years she and her husband Lloyd, who worked for Sun Oil, traveled extensively, with homes in Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, California, and Texas. During that time, Norma held various positions in management, payroll, leadership, sales, and customer service. Since their retirement, they have lived in Colorado.
Norma has been involved behind the scenes in W.A.C.®
since its inception. Her interest in W.A.C.®
became intense when she realized the impact it would have for children and their safety. She believes that if just one child can be saved from abduction, pain, and/or death, every person's part in this project will have been worthwhile. She is dedicated to the promotion of W.A.C.®
and to the concept that every one of us can be a hero.
